BENCHED - UPPERCUT DANSETEATER

BENCHED is a brutally honest bodily tale about life's big and very small questions. About settling down. About daring to sit in opposition, about sitting cross legged, about being sat, put off or benched. About taking, creating, and giving space, and preferably remembering to do so before falling on your ass where the bench ends.

A crudehonest story about life's big and small questions. About settling down. About daring to sit askew, about sitting cross-legged, about being put down, put off or benched. About taking, creating, and giving space, and preferably remembering to do so before you fall on your ass where the bench ends.

FRIENDLY - CIE DES ATTENTIFS

Is male-female friendship possible? With his new creation Friendly!, Guillaume Clayssen invites an actress and two acrobats to question, through words and bodies, the prejudices surrounding male-female companionship.

Why is there no great story about male-female friendship? Why is this type of friendship constantly associated with romantic dynamics from a young age? Why does it continue to spark debate and remain subject to questioning even today? To explore and deconstruct these preconceived ideas, director Guillaume Clayssen draws inspiration from the relationship between two acrobats, apprentices at the Académie Fratellini, whose practice is based on physical interaction and mutual trust. Blending theater with other artistic practices, Guillaume Clayssen constantly explores and challenges his own discipline in relation to other forms of performance and with a clear passion for philosophy. Both playful and acrobatic, Friendly! offers a new perspective on male-female friendship through fresh paradigms.

SUIS-JE BÊTE - CIE DES ATTENTIFS

Suis-je bête ?! questions, through philosophy, theater, and contemporary circus, what we call "intelligence," from the invention of IQ tests to artificial intelligence.

A show conceived within educational institutions, performed in front of an audience of students and teachers, in a space adapted to the acrobatic language of the circus artist, Suis-je bête ?! focuses on the often discriminatory social uses that accompany the notion of "intelligence" and investigates the new practices being developed by students and teachers since the arrival of new AIs.
